Terms and Conditions
Terms of Service
Last revised: April 24, 2025
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY AS THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT AFFECTS YOUR RIGHTS, REMEDIES, AND OBLIGATIONS.
These Terms include an agreement to arbitrate (unless you opt out) and a prohibition of class and representative actions, as well as collective relief in court or arbitration. You also agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the services provided by Ride Car Sharing LLC (“Ride”).
Introduction
Ride Car Sharing LLC (“Ride”, “we”, or “us”) operates an online platform (“the Services”) that allows vehicle owners to share their vehicles with individuals seeking to book them. By accessing or using the Services, you accept and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service (or simply, “Terms”), regardless of whether you create an account or register as a user. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and other applicable policies that may be outlined herein, together form the “Agreement”.
Modification
Ride reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to modify the Services or to modify the Agreement, including these Terms, at any time. If we modify these Terms, we will update the “Last Revised” date at the top of these Terms. If you continue to access or use the Services after we have posted a modification or have provided you with notice of a modification, you are indicating that you agree to be bound by the modified terms. If the modified terms are not acceptable to you, your sole recourse is to stop using and accessing the Services.
Eligibility, and verification
Eligibility
The Services are intended solely for persons who are 21 or older, except in the United States where we permit guests age 18 and older to book and host vehicles. All guests and hosts must possess either a valid United States Driver’s License or an International Driving Permit accompanied by a valid Driver’s License from their country of residence. Any use of the Services by anyone that does not meet these age requirements is expressly prohibited.
Verification
Where permitted, Ride has the right, but not the obligation, to undertake screenings, checks, and engage in processes designed to (1) help verify the identities or check the backgrounds of users, including driving history and driver’s license validity and (2) verify vehicle details. Ride does not endorse any vehicle, user, or a user’s background, or commit to undertake any specific screening process. Ride may in its sole discretion use third-party services to verify the information you provide to us and to obtain additional related information and corrections where applicable, and you hereby authorize Ride to request, receive, use, and store such information. Ride may permit or refuse your request to book or list a vehicle in its sole and absolute discretion. Ride may, but does not commit to, undertake efforts to ensure the safety of vehicles shared through the Services. We do not make any representations about, confirm, or endorse the safety, roadworthiness, or legal status of any vehicles beyond our policies that
require hosts to ensure their vehicles are in safe and operable condition, legally registered to be driven on public roads, have a clean title (e.g., non-salvaged/non-branded/non-washed/non-written off), not subject to any applicable safety recalls, and otherwise satisfy our eligibility requirements.
Consumer Report Authorization.
When you attempt to book or list a vehicle, or at any time after where Ride reasonably believes there may be an increased level of risk associated with your Ride Account, you hereby provide Ride with written instructions and authorize Ride, in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, applicable consumer reporting laws, or any similar laws to obtain your personal and/or business auto insurance score, credit report, and/or conduct a background check, including a criminal background check where permissible under applicable law.
Fees, Collection and taxes
Fees
The fees we charge for using the Services and other cost structures will be itemized at checkout for guests. When you provide Ride a payment method, you authorize Ride, or third-party service providers acting on Ride’s behalf, to store your payment credential for future use in the event you owe Ride any money. You authorize Ride to use stored payment credentials for balances, including for Trip costs, host fees, and guest fees (e.g., late fees, security deposits, processing fees and claims costs, and related administrative fees).
Collection
Ride and its service providers will employ all legal methods available to collect amounts due, including the engagement of collection agencies or legal counsel. Ride, or the collection agencies we retain, may also report information about your Ride Account to credit bureaus. As a result, late payments, missed payments, or other defaults on your Ride Account may be
reflected in your credit report. In addition to the amount due, delinquent accounts or chargebacks will be charged with fees and/or charges that are incidental to the collection of delinquent accounts or chargebacks including, but not limited to, collection fees, convenience fees, and/or other third party charges. If you wish to dispute the information Ride reported to a credit bureau (i.e.,Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion), please contact customerservice@ridecarsharing.com. If the Customer deactivates or removes these devices from the vehicle, they will incur a financial penalty of up to $1,500, plus the cost of device replacement and installation. By booking a vehicle with Ride, all guests agree to this tracking mechanism, which is implemented solely for security reasons.
Condition of the vehicle and optional Extras
You understand that third parties own the vehicles and Extras offered through the Services. Each host is responsible for complying with all legal requirements (including ensuring the vehicle is registered and insured) and maintaining their vehicle(s) in safe and roadworthy condition. Please complete a visual inspection before you begin your use of the vehicle. If you find damage in your initial inspection, you should annotate it and submit pictures to customerservice@ridecarsharing.com prior to signing and accepting the vehicle. If you find
damage on your initial inspection and fail to report it, Ride, third-party administrators, or insurance partners, may assume that the damage occurred during your reservation period. If, after your initial inspection, you believe that the vehicle is not safe to drive, please do not use the vehicle; instead, please contact the Ride team immediately.
No responsibility for shared vehicles
You acknowledge that Ride is not responsible and shall not be liable for the safety, roadworthiness, or legal status (e.g., whether the vehicle is legally registered or the subject of a stolen vehicle report) of any vehicles shared via the Services beyond our policies that require hosts to ensure their vehicles are in safe and operable condition, legally registered to be driven on public roads, not subject to a missing or stolen vehicle report, have a clean title (e.g., non-salvaged/non-branded/non-washed/non-written off), not subject to any applicable safety recalls, and otherwise satisfy our eligibility requirements.
Incident reporting
You must immediately report any damage to the vehicle you are using to Ride at customerservice@ridecarsharing.com, or your Host contact information. If there has been a collision, you must also make a report to the police. You will need to use all reasonable efforts to secure evidence from any available witnesses and to provide Ride or third-party claims administrators with a written description of the incident and any other information requested, including identity and insurance information of any parties involved in the incident. You are also required to cooperate in any loss investigation conducted by Ride, third party claims administrators, or insurers. After an incident, you may not continue to use the vehicle unless you have the explicit permission of Ride staff. Failure to timely report an incident or cooperate in an investigation may reduce or invalidate any protection plan received via the Services.
Vehicle theft
The following conduct may result in the reporting of the vehicle you have booked as stolen to law enforcement, possibly subjecting you and any other driver to arrest, and civil and/or criminal penalties, and the voiding of your protection plan:
If you fail to return the vehicle you booked at the time and place agreed upon with the host and/or designated in your reservation
If you do not return the vehicle by the end of the reservation period and you have not properly obtained an extension of the reservation through the Services as set forth
If the vehicle is returned to any place other than the return location on the reservation or agreed upon with the host. Any damage to, or loss or theft of, a vehicle occurring prior to the host inspecting the vehicle upon return at the end of the reservation is the guest’s responsibility
If you misrepresent facts to the host pertaining to booking, use, or operation of vehicle
If the vehicle’s interior components are stolen or damaged or the vehicle itself is stolen or damaged when the vehicle is left unlocked or
running or unattended with the keys not secured during reservation period
If you fail or refuse to communicate in good faith with the host, police, Ride, or other authorities with a full report of any accident or vandalism involving the vehicle or otherwise fail to cooperate in the investigation of any accident or vandalism
If the vehicle is operated by anyone who has given a fictitious name, false address, or a false or invalid driver’s license, whose driver’s license becomes invalid during the reservation period, who has obtained the keys without permission of the host, or who misrepresents
or withholds facts to/from the host or Ride material to the booking, use, or operation of vehicle
The primary guest who books the reservation is responsible for any private investigation costs Ride deems necessary to recover a vehicle that is not returned. In addition, a $1000 case administration fee will be imposed on the primary guest if Ride and/or the host has to report a vehicle as stolen to law enforcement due to it not being returned.
Repossession
Ride, a hired agent of Ride, or the host may repossess any vehicle booked through the Services without demand, at the guest’s expense, if the vehicle is not returned by the end of the reservation, is found illegally parked, apparently abandoned, or used in violation of applicable law or these Terms.
Missing Vehicles
If a vehicle you have booked through the Services goes missing and/or is stolen during the reservation period (or extension period), you must immediately return the original ignition key to the host, file a police report immediately after discovering the vehicle is missing or stolen, but in no event more than 24 hours after discovering it has gone missing, and cooperate fully with the host, law enforcement, Ride, and other authorities in all matters related to the investigation.
Trip Cost
Trip price
This is a vehicle’s listed rate multiplied by the trip length. Hosts can set a standard rate for all calendar days or set different prices for different days. The Trip price you see always reflect the vehicle’s daily rate for your chosen travel dates. If your dates are not full days than you will be charged an hourly rate. If your hours exceed 12 hours, you will be charged a full day rental.
To secure and confirm your reservation with Ride, we require an initial payment of 20% of the total trip cost. This payment ensures that your selected vehicle will be reserved and prepared for your use on the specified booking dates.
Making the Initial Payment: Upon making your vehicle selection and defining your trip details, you will be prompted to make the 20% initial payment. This can be done through our secure payment portal using accepted credit cards or other approved payment methods.
Reservation Confirmation: Upon successful receipt of the initial payment, we will confirm your reservation via email. This confirmation will include details about your booking, including vehicle information, rental period, and the balance due.
Balance Payment: The remaining balance of your trip cost will be due upon picking up the vehicle. The balance can be paid via the same payment methods as the initial payment.
Included within rate for Basic Rates
•	Unlimited Mileage: The price quoted includes Unlimited Mileage. Vehicles cannot be taken outside the state of Florida. If you take the car out of state, then it will be considered negligence and a penalty charge will apply of up to $1000, plus time and expenses.
•	Local Taxes: The prices quoted via the website include all local taxes.
•	Location Surcharge: We do our best to ensure that all the prices we display are inclusive of tax. However, please keep in mind that local taxes and fees, like airport surcharges, may be additionally applied by the Supplier on locally paid extra charges, like optional equipment and age-related fees. Local taxes and fees are controlled by local authorities and the Suppliers and may be subject to change.
Trip Fee
As part of our commitment to provide excellent service and maintain our fleet of vehicles, we apply a Trip Fee of the total trip cost to all reservations. This fee is automatically added to your total when you book a trip with us, and it goes towards covering operational costs, including vehicle maintenance, roadside assistance, and customer support. It allows us to keep our rental rates competitive while ensuring you have a safe and enjoyable journey.
Young Driver Fee
We welcome drivers as young as 18 years old to rent vehicles. However, due to the statistically higher risk associated with younger drivers, a Young Driver Fee of $25 per day is applied to renters aged 18 to 21. This fee is designed to cover the additional insurance costs incurred. Military service members with a valid military ID are exempt from this fee.
For renters aged 21 to 25, RIDE does not charge a Young Driver Fee during checkout. However, please note that individual hosts may apply an additional fee at the time of vehicle pickup, depending on their location and specific policies. This fee is determined solely by the host and is not controlled by RIDE.
Delivery
This is the amount a host charges to pickup and drop off a vehicle. That single listed fee covers delivery at the start and end of a trip. This doesn’t not cover any parking expenses, if your vehicle needs to be staged due to delays in pick up of the vehicle or the customer is picking up the vehicle after hours of operations.
Extras.
Pre-Paid Gas
Ride offers a pre-paid gas option to our customers for the convenience of returning the vehicle without the need to refuel.
It is also important to note that if you opt not to pre-pay for fuel, you will be required to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas. Failure
to do so will result in a refueling fee of $9.99 per gallon.
Pre-Paid Cleaning Service
Ride offers a Pre-Paid Cleaning Service for customers who want to simplify their rental experience.
•	This service ensures that you don’t have to clean the vehicle prior to returning it.
•	The service covers general cleaning of the vehicle’s interior and exterior, including vacuuming, dusting, window cleaning, and an exterior wash.
Important Notes
•	Exclusions: Excessive dirt, pet hair, stains, or spillages may incur additional cleaning charges. Similarly, any damage to the vehicle’s interior not reported during pickup will not be covered.
•	This prepaid cleaning fee is non-refundable and is calculated based on the type of vehicle.
Additional Driver Policy
Ride allows you to include up to 3 additional drivers in your rental agreement.
Terms
•	All additional drivers must meet the same qualifications as the primary renter (valid driver’s license and acceptable form of payment).
•	Each additional driver must be present at the time of rental to sign the agreement.
•	Daily fees may apply for each additional driver.
Allowing additional drivers ensures they are covered under any applicable insurance policies, providing peace of mind and flexibility for shared driving responsibilities.
Security Deposit Policy
A security deposit hold will be placed on the card on file on the day of your scheduled pickup. The deposit serves as a guarantee against potential costs such as damages, late fees, or other applicable charges.
•	Host-Specific Deposits: In addition to Ride’s standard deposit, hosts may charge their own security deposit at the time of vehicle pickup. The deposit amount will vary and will be displayed during the booking process on the website.
•	Refund Process: If no additional charges are incurred, Ride will initiate the refund process upon vehicle return. For host-specific deposits, refund timelines and processes are determined by the host.
•	Insurance Reduction: Guests selecting Ride’s Insurance Policy may have their security deposit reduced, as outlined during booking.
Notes:
•	Refunds may take up to 15 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank.
•	Deposits are subject to adjustment based on the terms outlined in your rental agreement.
Toll Policies
Ride provides flexible toll options for your ease of travel.
Unlimited Tolls Policy
•	Daily Rate: $14.99/day.
•	Includes unlimited toll usage during your rental period.
Toll Pass-Pay as you go
•	One-time fee of $20 for toll pass activation.
•	We will charge you your toll usage at the end of your trip.
Important Notes
•	If you incur toll charges but do not select Unlimited Tolls or the Toll Pass-Pay as go, you will be assessed a $60 service fee, plus a daily average toll charge of $5.99/day.
Depending on your location, certain toll options may not be available. In such cases, the host will provide you with their specific toll payment options during vehicle pickup.
5. Taxes
Tax payments are dependent on the location where your booking is made. Ride is required to collect applicable taxes based on local regulations in certain jurisdictions.

1.	Lost Key: You are responsible if the key(s) are lost or damaged and due to pay a penalty fee to the Supplier of the vehicle.
